Before Thanksgiving I was working on a project (hopefully I can reveal it soon!) and was brainstorming some of the most helpful books I’ve read to help me spiritually in marriage.
Knowing my own experience is just one sliver of the good stuff others have probably found, I headed to Facebook to ask my friends what books they’ve read that have positively impacted their marriage the most. I was so excited to see some of my favorites and also amazed how many I either hadn’t read or even heard of. There are so many great resources out there!
I personally believe regular reading about the faith, marriage, and parenting are vital to avoiding complacency and drifting from the path to holiness. I’m really excited to have more selections to add to my list.
I thought it would be fun to share here some of the responses in case you’re looking for a new book to pick up! (But here’s my disclaimer: I haven’t read all of these – take the list as two friends chatting over coffee, discussing books we heard are good that we’d like to read and review some day.)
So here it is – some of the top books that my friends recommend that have helped their marriages the most! My personal faves that either Jake (my husband) or I have read are marked with an asterisk *.
